Major Gifts

Major gifts are individual donations, generally of $5,000 or more, targeted to meet specific needs in the school. These donations make a tremendous difference in the lives of our students. Here are some of the major gifts received in the 2003-04 school year: 

Early Childhood Center Gift—Alumni parents made a gift to furnish and equip a pre-school classroom. 

Educational Multi-Media Collection—A grandparent established a fund to purchase Judaic computer software to reinforce a variety of Hebrew language skills and Judaic knowledge. An endowment fund was also established to support the multi-media collection in the future. 

Middle School Fund—A gift from HAMC parents supported the purchase of a new microscope for science and CD-ROM textbooks for language arts in the Middle School. 

Admissions Training Fund—A gift from HAMC parents enabled the school to hire a nationally renowned school consultant to work with our Director of Admissions on recruitment and admissions issues. 

Jason K. Jacobs Memorial Early Childhood Scholarship Fund—A gift made in memory of Jason K. Jacobs, who perished on Sept. 11, 2001, supports scholarships for preschool youngsters. 

Computer Fund—An existing fund established by alumni parents was used during 2003-04 to purchase hardware to upgrade computers in the Computer Lab and classrooms.
